About This Product
This V-Twin starter housing nut and spacer carries a left-hand thread. It fits 1965–1984 Big Twins including FX and early Softail. It suits Delco-Remy, Prestolite and Hitachi starter motors. The thread is left-hand for a reason. Force it the wrong way and you will strip or crack the starter shaft. It replaces OEM 31530-65A. It spaces and retains the starter drive assembly on Panhead, Shovelhead and early Evolution motors.
