About This Product
V-Twin starter housing with bearing. Replaces OEM 31572-79. Fits 1979 to 1988 FX models with Hitachi starters. The bearing is already pressed in. The mounting holes are threaded for number ten UNC fasteners on a 2 3/8 inch centre-to-centre spacing. That is the standard Hitachi layout for those years. The raw finish takes paint or powder to match your tinware. It is a solid replacement for a cracked or stripped housing.
