About This Product
MCS sprocket shaft extension only. Replaces OEM 40376-57. Fits late 1957 to early 1974 XL Sportster models. This is the spacer and extension that carries the compensating sprocket on the sprocket shaft. Fit a new one during a bottom end rebuild to keep primary alignment correct. Inspect the shaft splines and the extension bore for wear or galling before assembly. Torque the compensating sprocket nut to factory spec.
