About This Product
MCS left-side mainshaft thrust washer. It replaces OEM 35216-79 and fits late 1979 to 1990 4-speed XL Sportster transmissions. The washer controls end-play and reduces friction on the mainshaft. You need proper spacing here or the gearbox shifts poorly and the gears wear prematurely. Inspect the old washer for thinning or scoring during any transmission teardown. This one matches factory thickness. Ironhead and early Evolution Sportster.
