George's Garage clutch spring adapter nut makes the 979429 compressor fit the 1991 to 2022 XL Sportster and 1991 to 2010 Buell models. You need it to compress the clutch spring on those bikes. The tool will not align properly without this adapter. You will need it every time you service a Sportster or Buell clutch. Buy it once and keep it with the compressor.
