About This Product
Designed specifically for 1989 to 1999 Big Twin models, excluding Twin Cam engines, this plug retainer is a must-have for maintaining electrical reliability. It is constructed from chrome-plated die-cast aluminum and mounts to the exterior of the crankcase. Its primary job is to lock the regulator/rectifier plug into the alternator stator plug, preventing the common problem of them vibrating apart while riding. This MCS retainer, part number 517794, comes with the necessary socket head bolt for installation. It is a small investment that can save you from a dead battery and a long walk home by keeping your charging circuit intact.
