About This Product
MCS motor sprocket nut. Fits 1957 to early 1976 XL Sportster and XLH models running a compensating sprocket. Replaces OEM 40386-57. It clamps the compensator to the crankshaft sprocket. Torque it properly and check the thread pitch for damage before fitting. A loose nut will wreck the crankshaft splines and take the primary with it. Do not reuse a nut that has taken a set.
Manufacturer part number: 516663.
