About This Product
MCS unmolded alternator stator for late 1984–1990 XL Sportster models. The windings are not encased in resin. Air circulates around the coils and carries heat away. That helps prevent the overheating that kills stock stators. Fit this if your charging system is failing. Dim lights, a weak battery, or intermittent electrical faults often trace back to a burnt stator. This is a direct replacement.
Manufacturer part number: 500226.
