About This Product
The Accel unmolded alternator stator fits 1991 to 2006 Sportster models. The windings are not encased in resin. That lets air flow through to pull heat away from the coils. Molded stators trap heat and cook themselves. This one runs cooler and lasts longer. It is a direct replacement for the XL charging system. Bolt it in and wire it up. No modifications needed.
