Those contact features do not belong to every decorative cover.

The collection includes regular hand grips and a separate heated-grip option, rider and passenger footpegs, footboards, mirrors, brake-pedal pads, shifter pegs, derby covers and timer covers. They share a visual treatment, but not one fitment or function. In particular, regular grips 56100564 and heated grips 56100574 have model restrictions including FXBB and FXBR exclusions; a Switchback film on a Breakout trim category does not override those restrictions.

Check the exact member’s fitting parts as well as its finish. Rider footboards 50502476 reuse the original hardware, which is not supplied with them. Mirrors 56000343 include the left and right mirrors and mounting hardware, but some motorcycles need the specified fairing plugs. The actual products in this category are linked below. The clear-anodised Switchback film shows the bright alternative to the black collection. Harley-Davidson describes these as lightweight additions, without specifying a weight saving. Clear anodising protects the bright aluminium on the controls; the matching derby and timer covers combine black anodised areas with exposed-looking aluminium details. Rubber and knurling provide grip where hands or boots meet the controls, rather than being a feature of every decorative cover.

The film moves through regular and heated hand grips, rider and passenger footpegs, footboards, mirrors, brake-pedal pads, shifter pegs, derby covers and timer covers. These are individual accessories sharing a design, not one complete kit or one universal fitment. Regular grips 56100565 and heated grips 56100575 are distinct products. The current heated-grip specification adds three thermostatically controlled heat settings, a flexible heating element and independent temperature sensing for the two grips; operation uses the supported motorcycle controls and display. A regular grip does not supply those heating functions.

The mounting details also differ. Rider footboards 50502483 require the original mounting hardware to be reused; hardware is not included. Mini footboard and mount kit 50502669 includes its required mounting kit. Mirrors 56000344 supply a left/right pair with mounting hardware. The film’s performance language is a styling and product presentation, not a measured power, weight or handling improvement.
