This Harley-Davidson Audio powered by Rockford Fosgate film compares three speaker pairs for compatible air-cooled fairing lowers. Harley-Davidson explains that adding lower speakers to an existing two- or four-speaker system increases available sound pressure, allowing higher listening volume with less distortion and clearer sound at highway speeds. Choose a stage for the complete system and the exact motorcycle configuration.
Stage I, part 76001453, uses two-way 6.5-inch, 4-ohm speakers rated for up to 75 watts each. The film shows injection-moulded woofer cones, high-flux neodymium magnets and bridge-mounted 25 mm tweeters. This pair offers the entry specification of the three kits compared.
Stage II, part 76001454, moves to three-way 6.5-inch, 2-ohm speakers rated for up to 150 watts each. Each unit combines an injection-moulded woofer with a high-flux neodymium magnet, a 20 mm tweeter and a separate 30 mm midrange driver. Harley-Davidson presents the extra capacity as a way to obtain more volume with less distortion at speed.
Stage III, part 76001455, raises the rating to up to 250 watts per speaker. These three-way 6.5-inch, 2-ohm units use injection-moulded woofer cones, large high-flux neodymium N48 magnets, 20 mm tweeters and 30 mm midrange drivers. The film identifies the redesigned fairing lowers on applicable 2023-and-later models and describes clearer high, mid and bass reproduction; this is not a claim that every motorcycle from 2023 accepts the kit.
All three are described as waterproof and vibration tested, with an Element Ready design intended to withstand water, dirt, UV exposure and motorcycle vibration. Each kit includes the subassembly, hardware, left and right speakers and grilles. Stage III adds Performance Red trim rings and grille inserts. In supported installations, the film demonstrates configuring the completed system through Skyline OS touchscreen prompts.
The speaker kit is only part of the installation. A separate air-cooled fairing-lower speaker installation kit, the appropriate engine guard, amplifier and amplifier installation kit are required according to model. Six- or eight-speaker systems also need a secondary 600-watt amplifier. The current installation references include 76001392 and, where specified for the amplifier arrangement, 76001385; confirm the complete combination before ordering. Further parts may be necessary.
