Choose the pad for your brake lever

These parts change the surface beneath your boot and the finish of the brake pedal. They are separate from the brake lever and from the pads inside the brake caliper. Match the lever application first, then compare the rubber contact surface and collection finish.

The all-years grid includes several lever shapes. “Large” and “small” are product variants with different applications, not freely interchangeable size choices.

Large Redline pad for the listed Touring-style lever

These forged-aluminium pads have a black rubber centre surrounded by black, red or blue anodising. References 50600604/50600605/50600694 share the listed Touring, Trike, earlier FL Softail and FLD applications. They differ from the similarly named large pads for later FL Softail footboard models. Choose the exact reference for your existing lever; the pad does not convert the lever arrangement.

Compare rubber surfaces and finish details

Carbide offers black anodising with machined highlights in 50600747 or chrome in 50600748, with rubber contact surfaces. Black Switchback 50600546 uses rubber inserts and cut-out detailing. All three have their own listed lever applications. The films show matching shifter pegs too, but those are separate products on the other side of the motorcycle.

About these products

Coordinating the Carbide collection

The Carbide Collection uses forged billet aluminium with either bright chrome or black anodising and machined highlights. Its slashed detailing carries through the rider and passenger foot supports, hand controls and smaller trim pieces. Black rubber contact surfaces on the boards and pegs are intended to give a positive grip. These are separately chosen accessories: the film’s complete collection is not one kit, and the products linked below are the members matched to this category.

For passengers, the film compares footboards with footpegs, alongside matching rider footboards. The passenger-board variants matter: 50503325 and 50503326 require the listed passenger-footboard support and explicitly exclude Trikes. The 2026-on Trike passenger boards are 50503327 and 50503328. A similar appearance does not make those versions interchangeable.

For a stretched-out riding position, the film pairs highway pegs with separate engine-guard mounts. Mounts 50503333 in black and 50503334 in chrome are supplied as a pair with necessary mounting hardware, for the specified 2024-on models with 1.25-inch engine guards. The footpegs are sold separately. Choose both the correct mount and the appropriate pegs rather than assuming the pictured assembly is included in either listing.

The separate Carbide heated grips have high, medium and low settings with thermostatic control to maintain the selected temperature. A flexible PCB heating element distributes heat, with independent temperature sensing and control for the left and right grips. Settings are controlled by the left-grip button or touchscreen and indicated on the motorcycle display. The grips are sold as a pair. Their exact fitment excludes FXBB and FXBR, so seeing this collection on a Breakout footboard page does not make its heated grips suitable for that bike. Some 2024 Street Glide and Road Glide installations may need a dealer Digital Technician update.

A matching brake-pedal pad and shifter peg complete the control-area treatment, both with rubber contact surfaces. Heating belongs to the heated grips, and included mounting hardware depends on the specific item. Use the category’s actual product links to choose the relevant accessory and check its finish, motorcycle and fitting requirements before combining pieces.

Choosing the Redline look

Redline brings together precision-machined, forged aluminium pieces in red, blue and black anodised finishes. Those colours describe the collection; each linked product has its own finish and fitment. The rider, passenger and highway pegs and rider footboards have open shapes, raised edges and cleats that H-D describes as gripping boot soles. Optional black rubber Comfort Inserts change their look and feel: 50503139 fits Redline rider footboards, while 50503140 fits Redline rider, passenger or highway pegs. Both insert sets are separate purchases, supplied as pairs, with retaining tabs rather than fitting tools or fasteners.

The hand grips use an anodised aluminium body with rubber contact surfaces. Their glueless design allows removal for servicing without damage, according to the exact listing; that feature belongs to the grips rather than the decorative covers. The brake-pedal pads come in small and large versions with a forged aluminium body and black rubber centre. The matching shifter peg adds tapered ends and a machined bevel, so the controls carry the same design without being interchangeable parts.

The derby cover, timer cover and fuel cap use curved machined spokes with a central Bar & Shield motif. These are appearance details, not engine-performance upgrades. The film shows the collection together, while the links here identify the actual pieces in this category. Choose the correct part, size and finish for the bike, and check any required mounts or separate inserts; a shared Redline name does not establish common fitment or included accessories.

Choosing black Switchback accessories

This film presents the black anodised Switchback Collection. Forged billet aluminium, pronounced knurling and rubber contact surfaces give the controls and foot supports their textured character. H-D describes the pieces as lightweight additions, without quoting a weight saving. The black anodising protects the exposed aluminium, while the knurled and rubber areas are intended to provide a secure-feeling contact surface. Those contact features do not belong to every decorative cover.

The collection includes regular hand grips and a separate heated-grip option, rider and passenger footpegs, footboards, mirrors, brake-pedal pads, shifter pegs, derby covers and timer covers. They share a visual treatment, but not one fitment or function. In particular, regular grips 56100564 and heated grips 56100574 have model restrictions including FXBB and FXBR exclusions; a Switchback film on a Breakout trim category does not override those restrictions.

Check the exact member’s fitting parts as well as its finish. Rider footboards 50502476 reuse the original hardware, which is not supplied with them. Mirrors 56000343 include the left and right mirrors and mounting hardware, but some motorcycles need the specified fairing plugs. The actual products in this category are linked below. The black-collection film does not establish the finish or suitability of clear-anodised or other same-name variants.

Coordinating Empire chrome controls and covers

The Empire Chrome film shows how bright chrome and deep grooves connect the collection’s hand and foot controls with its engine covers. Harley-Davidson describes the collection as using durable cast and billet aluminium. The demonstration motorcycle is a Street Glide, but the film also refers to a wider range of mirrors, end caps and other components. Their shared appearance does not make every item a fit for that motorcycle or part of one supplied kit.

The hand grips combine classic Harley-Davidson branding and chrome with rubber sections for a positive hold. Their glueless design permits removal for servicing without damage, and the film states that left and right grips are supplied together. It gives a nominal diameter of 1.6 inches, approximately 41 mm. That dimension helps you judge the grip’s size; compatibility still comes from the exact product’s model and control-system requirements, not its diameter alone. The exact chrome grip reference here is 56100427.

The rider footboard kit uses an open cut-out design and a rubber top surface. The film points to separately available passenger footboards and footpeg choices for extending the same style. The large rear brake-pedal pad has deep grooves around its perimeter, a smooth chrome middle section and a rubber contact surface. Those details carry the visual theme between the places your boots touch, while the footboard, peg and pedal pad remain different components. The matching shifter peg 33600335 has a rubber top and includes mounting hardware according to its current product description.

The derby cover carries classic Harley-Davidson branding, while the timer cover has an inset Bar & Shield logo. The film says both were developed alongside their intended original-equipment components and include chrome-plated mounting hardware. Select the exact chrome part offered for your bike and category; the film’s claim of a precise fit refers to the intended applications. Black and machine-cut Empire variants are separate finish choices, not automatic substitutes for these chrome references.

Empire black machine-cut details, from grips to foot controls

The Black Machine Cut Empire film explains the finish through its contrast: a rich black anodised surface is machined to reveal bright billet aluminium beneath. Deep grooves give the components definition, while the exposed highlights trace their edges and details. This is a different appearance from the all-chrome or predominantly black Empire collections, even where the product names are similar.

Hand grips 56100429 combine that finish with classic Harley-Davidson branding and rubber areas for a positive hold. Their glueless design allows removal for servicing without damage. Rider footboard kit 50501934 carries the same style into a larger support surface, with rubber on top for grip. The large rear brake-pedal pad 50600463 and shifter peg 33600333 continue the finish into the smaller controls; the current shifter-peg listing includes mounting hardware. Passenger footpegs 50502113 are another exact machine-cut reference, with their own passenger-position fitting requirements. These pieces are separate purchases, not a complete control kit.

The film also shows matching derby and timer covers, describes their intended engine fit and states that each is sold separately. The product actions here cover the exact machine-cut controls; they do not offer a matching engine cover. Chrome covers 25701169 and 25600150 have a different finish and must not be mistaken for the machine-cut covers in this film. The wider range mentioned includes mirrors, footpegs and heated hand grips. Heated grips are a separate product choice: regular grips 56100429 do not gain heating simply by sharing the collection name. Choose the exact finish, function and fitment for your selected motorcycle.

Building a black Empire finish around your bike

The black Empire film shows a coordinated treatment for engine covers and hand and foot controls. Deep grooves give the parts definition within the black finish; the current collection descriptions identify cast and billet aluminium construction. The film uses the derby cover to demonstrate the rich black surface and classic Harley-Davidson branding, and the timer cover to show the inset Bar & Shield logo. Harley-Davidson says those covers were developed alongside the intended original-equipment components. That describes model-specific design, not compatibility with every motorcycle.

The large footpegs use a cut-out design, while the shifter peg carries the same black treatment into a smaller contact point. The exact 50501856 listing supplies a left/right pair for the rider position on its specified models; it is not a passenger-peg kit. Grips, rider footboards, a large brake-pedal pad and passenger footpegs extend the coordinated controls shown on the bench. Current descriptions specify rubber contact surfaces for grip and a glueless design for the hand grips, allowing removal for servicing without damaging them. Each accessory has its own fitting requirements and is purchased separately; matching finish does not make a passenger peg interchangeable with a rider peg.

The film specifically states that the timer cover includes its mounting hardware. It also mentions a wider Empire range of mirrors, end caps and other pieces, which are not all part of the exact product selection here. The filmed derby cover 25701177 is marked discontinued in the current catalogue, so it has no active product action in this film selection. The available category actions identify the exact black references; chrome and machine-cut Empire parts are different finish choices.

Endgame’s slotted shapes and diamond-pattern grips

The Endgame film brings the collection’s industrial styling into close view: slotted shapes, dark metal finishes and diamond-pattern rubber contact surfaces. It starts with hand grips 56100394, whose rubber inserts provide both the visible pattern and a contact surface for your hands. Their stated diameter is 1.5 inches, about 38 mm. The glueless design lets the grips be removed for servicing without damage; the film’s description of comfort is a product presentation, not a guarantee that this diameter suits every rider.

Rider footpegs 50501684 carry the same slotted design and raised diamond-tread rubber to help keep boots in place. Their black anodised treatment is intended to sit with either black or bright motorcycle finishes. The current descriptions also identify black rubber against matte graphite areas, so the collection is not simply one uniform shiny black surface. Rider footboards 50501680 extend the same theme with four raised rubber pads and Harley-Davidson script, and their listing includes both left and right boards.

The film shows how rider footboards, brake-pedal pads, brake levers, shifter pegs, shift levers and footpegs can be combined. The exact references here include brake-pedal pad 50600401, brake lever 41600305, shifter peg 33600303 and shift lever 33600301. Those are separate components with different functions, not a supplied complete control kit. Use the exact product actions for the current category and your selected motorcycle; the collection’s range across several models does not mean that every Endgame part fits every one of them.

Choosing bright Switchback accessories

The clear-anodised Switchback film shows the bright alternative to the black collection. Forged billet aluminium, pronounced knurling and rubber contact surfaces give the hand and foot controls a deliberately textured finish. Harley-Davidson describes these as lightweight additions, without specifying a weight saving. Clear anodising protects the bright aluminium on the controls; the matching derby and timer covers combine black anodised areas with exposed-looking aluminium details. Rubber and knurling provide grip where hands or boots meet the controls, rather than being a feature of every decorative cover.

The film moves through regular and heated hand grips, rider and passenger footpegs, footboards, mirrors, brake-pedal pads, shifter pegs, derby covers and timer covers. These are individual accessories sharing a design, not one complete kit or one universal fitment. Regular grips 56100565 and heated grips 56100575 are distinct products. The current heated-grip specification adds three thermostatically controlled heat settings, a flexible heating element and independent temperature sensing for the two grips; operation uses the supported motorcycle controls and display. A regular grip does not supply those heating functions.

The mounting details also differ. Rider footboards 50502483 require the original mounting hardware to be reused; hardware is not included. Mini footboard and mount kit 50502669 includes its required mounting kit. Mirrors 56000344 supply a left/right pair with mounting hardware. Choose the exact part offered for your selected bike and category, and check its installation requirements before ordering. The film’s performance language is a styling and product presentation, not a measured power, weight or handling improvement.
